Yesterday was hopeless. Today they were on task and they took DORA and DOMA tests. All in all not much education happening this week. No, that's not true, they're reading and all sorts of exciting things. Just only a half a day worth of the formal.
Sigh.
Take heart. I've been teaching Kindergarten for 23 years and we've had 11 days of school and wer are still on the *how to organize our stuff* lessons (while trying to move on to the actual lesson content). But I have to remember that learning to organize your stuff is about how to organize yourself and your thinking. So it's not that we're not getting anything done. It just takes time. And patience. It helps that they are cute and say funny things. No great funny quotes today but I'll keep ya posted. If you would like to do a pen pal thing I'd love to. Let me know and we can exchange addresses.
